I’ve been writing every day, working hard to make sure I can get my newest book, The Unbound Genie, into readers’ hands in 2027.

This one is going to be a little different from my other work. I’m intentionally keeping it a shorter story—under 250 pages—but that doesn’t mean I’m holding back on the romance, darkness, spice, or supernatural power.

Actually, the whole reason this story came to me was because I started thinking:

What happened to genies?

We have vampires, witches, werewolves, demons, fae, gods, monsters, and just about every other supernatural being finding their way into romance books, but somewhere along the way, I feel like we forgot just how powerful a genie could be.

So, with dark romance being as popular as it is, I decided it was time to bring the genie back. Except I wanted to create the kind of genie dark romance readers could drool over.

I wanted to play with the idea of what would happen if a being with that much supernatural power was finally unbound. What happens when someone who has always been controlled is suddenly free to make his own choices? More importantly, what happens when an almost unstoppable being discovers love?

The Unbound Genie will have the possessiveness, obsession, devotion, danger, and morally questionable behavior that I love about dark romance, mixed with fantasy and the terrifying possibilities that come with a being who can do things humans simply can't.

I've been having so much fun writing this story, and I'm excited to finally start sharing more as I work toward publication in 2027.

If you've ever wanted a powerful, obsessive, nearly unstoppable supernatural man who would happily bring the world to its knees for the woman he loves...I think you're going to like this.
